MARCO ROQUE

President, CEO & Director

Marco Roque is a seasoned investor, entrepreneur, and advisor based in Hong Kong, renowned for his expertise in finance, commodities, and mineral exploration.

Beginning his career in private banking at Millennium BCP, a prominent Portuguese bank, Marco quickly rose to prominence and transitioned to Barclays Capital in 2007. At Barclays, he led the Portuguese derivatives and structured products team, specializing in commodities and demonstrating exceptional strategic acumen.

A distinguished professional, Marco holds a CFA charter and a prestigious academic background. He earned his MBA from the esteemed Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and London Business School. Additionally, he holds a master’s in finance from Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, complemented by an undergraduate Management degree from the same institution.

Marco's entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Reyna Silver, a silver exploration company with a strategic portfolio encompassing Mexican and US silver assets. Two of these assets were integral to MAG Silver’s original IPO. Furthermore, Marco is a co-founder and director at Sendero Resources, a company at the forefront of mineral exploration on the Vicuña Belt in Argentina. Noteworthy among his ventures, Marco was the co-founder and former CEO of Infinitum Copper, a company specializing in copper-focused initiatives. Under his leadership, Infinitum Copper successfully acquired the Adelita Project in Mexico, a high-grade copper-gold-silver skarn project.

CFO

Mr. Chen has over 20 years of experience in senior financial roles with Canadian mining companies at various stages of development. From 2012 and 2021, he was the CFO of Selwyn Chihong Mining Ltd., which owned a significant zinc and lead project in the Yukon. Prior to Selwyn, Mr. Chen was the Manager, Finance for Eldorado Gold Corporation from 2005 to 2012 during which Eldorado had four operating gold mines and two projects under construction. Before Eldorado Gold, he worked as the Corporate Controller for Afcan Mining Corp. which was acquired by Eldorado in 2005. Mr. Chen began his career as an auditor with KPMG LLP and is a CPA, CMA in British Columbia with an MBA degree from Western University.

 

Jill Maxwell

JILL MAXWELL, P.Geo.

VP Exploration

Jill Maxwell, P.Geo is an exploration geologist with 13+ years focused in the precious metals sector. She brings a wide range of experience in mineral exploration from greenfields programs through to feasibility level studies for orogenic gold and Ni-Cu-PGEs, including at Sabina Gold & Silver Corp.’s Back River Project (now owned by B2Gold) and North American Palladium Ltd.’s Lac des Iles Mine through and following its acquisition by Impala Platinum. Jill has a demonstrated track record for exploration success in various leadership roles on discovery teams at greenfields and advanced staged projects, and most recently as Exploration Manager for Cassiar Gold Corp.

TYLER RICE

Senior Advisor Corporate Affairs

Mr. Rice is a Chartered Professional Accountant with an entrepreneurial spirit and a community focus. Building relationships and bringing creative solutions to complex problems has supported multiple successful projects spanning multiple sectors and industries.

Mr. Rice is a Founding Director for the Columbia Institute for Renewable Energy, Director with the Chamber of Mines of Eastern BC, West Kootenay Boundary Community Investment Co-op, Community Futures Central Kootenays and involved in advancing numerous other non-profit and community impact organizations.

An active community member, Tyler was recently honoured as the 2020 Volunteer of the Year by Community Futures of Central Kootenays for his contributions to the area, including coaching hockey and basketball teams, serving on volunteer boards and mentoring local businesses.
