Jill Maxwell, P.Geo.
VP Exploration
Jill Maxwell, P.Geo is an exploration geologist with 13+ years focused in the precious metals sector. She brings a wide range of experience in mineral exploration from greenfields programs through to feasibility level studies for orogenic gold and Ni-Cu-PGEs, including at Sabina Gold & Silver Corp.’s Back River Project (now owned by B2Gold) and North American Palladium Ltd.’s Lac des Iles Mine through and following its acquisition by Impala Platinum. Jill has a demonstrated track record for exploration success in various leadership roles on discovery teams at greenfields and advanced staged projects, and most recently as Exploration Manager for Cassiar Gold Corp.
Tyler Vig, GIT
Project Geologist
Tyler Vig, GIT, has worked in the Cassiar region since 2018 as a junior geologist. He obtained a B.Sc. specializing in Geology from the University of Calgary in 2017. He worked for Wildsky Resources during their 2018 “Lucky” soil survey and tailings drilling program on the Cassiar Gold property. Tyler gained familiarity with the region during a low-impact drilling program at the nearby Haskins-Reed polymetallic project, and field prospecting at the historic Boulder Creek placer claims. He joined Cassiar Gold Corp. the following year, continuing work as a junior geologist during the 2019 field exploration program and 2020 Taurus drilling project.
Jayme Anderson
GIS Technician
Jayme Anderson has been part of the Cassiar Gold Corp team since 2016, after her graduation from the Integrated Environmental Program at Selkirk College in BC. She is involved with GIS, permitting, and reporting for the company’s projects. Jayme has previously worked for and volunteered with the Salmo Watershed Streamkeepers Society, and has contributed to several exploration projects and 43-101 resource reports through her GIS work. She is passionate about environmental advocacy and maintaining strong relationships between First Nations groups and the resource sector.
Dawson Stone, M.Sc., GIT
Exploration Geologist
Dawson Stone, GIT, earned a BSc., Specialization Geology, from the University of Alberta in 2019. He has three years of experience mapping volcanic belts in the NWT as part of the Northwest Territories Geological Survey’s Slave volcanogenic massive sulphides project and is currently completing a MSc in geological sciences at the University of Saskatchewan. He joined the Cassiar Gold Corp. team for the 2021 drill program in a move to the exploration industry and has stayed on as a full time junior geologist.
Shelby Austin-Fafard, M.Sc., GIT
Exploration Geologist
Shelby Austin-Fafard, GIT, obtained a B.Sc. with specialization in Geology from Mount Royal University in 2019. Shelby joined Cassiar Gold Corp. as a junior geologist during the 2021 drilling program. Before joining Cassiar Gold Corp. he worked alongside the Northwest Territories Geological Survey as a junior and senior field mapper.
